Customer Centricity

Customer Centricity can be defined as putting the customer first without forgetting your own interests.

All your actions should be aimed at making the customer happy:

  • Being happy (and paying),
  • recommend you to others (more paying customers) and
  • help you become even better (keep your customers).

In this sense, Customer Centricity is not just a marketing thing.

Rather, it is a culture! That’s why it has to start with changes at the top management level and reach every single person who interacts with the customer or is responsible for something the customer sees, feels or hears (so basically everyone!).

How do we become more customer-centric?

  1. Start with a customer-centric vision.
  2. Figure out who the most valuable customers are.
  3. Develop a deep understanding of those customers.
  4. Use those insights to create a perfect-fit offering and develop a targeted sales and communications strategy.
  5. Repeat and review starting from stept 2
